My Approach

Hi, I’m Laura — founder of Quiet Minds Coaching & Hypnosis.
I work with people who are ready to stop repeating the same patterns and want a way to actually change them — not just manage them.
My work focuses on two main areas: weight loss and emotional patterns such as stress, overwhelm, and limiting beliefs.
As a weight loss coach, my approach is not about diets, restriction, or quick fixes.
It’s about small, realistic changes that fit into your life — the kind that build over time and actually last.Because lasting weight loss isn’t about doing more… it’s about changing the patterns behind it.
In weight loss work, we don’t focus on food alone. The work is done through hypnosis and subconscious-based techniques, helping to shift the patterns behind eating, stress, and habits — so change feels more natural and lasting.
Alongside this, I support women in working through the deeper layers — stress, overthinking, self-doubt, and emotional habits that keep them feeling stuck.Using a combination of hypnosis, NLP, coaching, Havening Techniques®, and HeartMath®, we work at the level where these patterns are created — allowing change to feel more natural and lasting.
I bring together training in hypnosis, NLP, Havening Techniques®, and HeartMath®, combining these into a calm, practical approach to lasting change.
This work is calm, practical, and focused on real results.
Not starting over.

My Journey
My approach comes from my own experience of overthinking, people-pleasing, and not feeling good enough — along with the stress and overwhelm that comes with trying to hold everything together.
I know what it’s like to be constantly in your head, trying to get things right and keep everyone else happy, while still feeling unsettled underneath.
I also understand, personally, how patterns around habits and weight can feel like an ongoing struggle — not something that just gets fixed once and for all.
What I came to understand is that these patterns don’t change by trying harder or pushing through. They shift when you start working with what’s going on beneath the surface.
That’s what led me into this work and into training in hypnosis, NLP, Havening Techniques®, and HeartMath® — and it’s the calm, practical approach I now bring to my clients

I am a certified Life and Success Coach, Clinical Weight Loss Coach, Hypnotherapist/Hypnotist, NLP Practitioner, Havening Techniques® Practitioner, and HeartMath® Practitioner. I bring these approaches together to create calm, practical, and lasting change — without overwhelm or quick fixes. I continue to build on this work through ongoing learning, so I can support my clients in a way that is both effective and grounded.

Sessions are calm, focused, and supportive.
They are designed to be a safe, non-judgemental space where you can slow things down and begin to understand what’s really going on beneath the surface.
Depending on what you need, we use a blend of:

Hypnosis (to work directly with the subconscious)

NLP techniques (to shift patterns and perception)

Havening Techniques (to reduce emotional intensity and calm the nervous system)

Coaching (to create clarity and forward movement)

HeartMath tools (to regulate stress and emotional responses)
You don’t need to know which approach is right - that’s guided for you. Most sessions use a blend of approaches, including hypnosis. However, you’re always in control of how we work together, and we can work without hypnosis if that feels more comfortable for you

HYpnosis
What it is
Hypnosis is a natural, focused state of attention where the mind becomes more open and receptive. It’s similar to those moments when you’re deeply absorbed in something or lost in thought. In this state, the subconscious mind — where habits, patterns, and automatic responses are stored — becomes more accessible.
How it helps
Rather than trying to force change through willpower, hypnosis works at the level where patterns are created. It helps shift behaviours, reduce emotional reactivity, and create new, more supportive responses. This allows change to feel more natural, consistent, and easier to maintain over time.
HAVENING
What it is
Havening Techniques is a gentle, neuroscience-based approach that uses soothing touch (on the arms, hands, or face) combined with guided focus. It works with how the brain stores emotional memories and responses, helping to safely process and reduce their intensity.
How it helps
Havening can help reduce stress, anxiety, and the emotional charge connected to past experiences. It allows the nervous system to settle and creates a sense of calm and safety, making it easier to respond to situations without being pulled back into old emotional patterns.
HEARTMATH
What it is
HeartMath is a set of simple, evidence-based techniques that focus on the connection between the heart, brain, and nervous system. Using breathing and awareness practices, it helps bring the body into a more balanced and regulated state.
How it helps
HeartMath tools help reduce stress in the moment and improve emotional regulation. This makes it easier to think clearly, feel more in control, and respond rather than react. Over time, it builds resilience, helping you handle everyday challenges with more calm and stability.
NLP
What it is
NLP is a practical approach to understanding how thoughts, language, and behaviours are connected. It focuses on how patterns are formed in the mind and how they can be adjusted. It’s less about analysing the past and more about changing how you experience things in the present.
How it helps
NLP techniques help shift unhelpful thinking patterns, reframe perspectives, and create new ways of responding. This can reduce overthinking, self-doubt, and emotional triggers, making it easier to feel more in control and move forward with clarity.
